See contest-winning poem, Eden Revisited, in Persimmon Tree Magazine, winter 2014 edition (persimmontree.org). Her first fiction piece, “American Buddha" won first place in Jane’s Stories Bite Size Contest, February 2008. She performed a dramatic reading of her nonfiction piece “Moraine Hills State Park” at Side Project Theater as part of The Kindness of Strangers: A Festival of Storytelling on October 29, 2013. The story was published in print online at Story Club Magazine, August 5, 2014 (http://www.storyclubmagazine.com/stories/morain-hills-state-park-gayle-ann-weinstein). "Meet Me On The Corner," from a memoir-in-progress titled Shayndel, published online in Persimmon Tree Literary Magazine December 15, 2013. "'Go Check on Gramma, my father said." published in Lilith Magazine in their Spring 2014 print issue. Gayle was a reader for Other Voices (Univ. of Ill. literary magazine) and Narrative Magazine. She was chosen as a fiction juror for Elle Magazine Readers’ Prize, wrote various reviews for Library Media Connection (Linworth Publishing, Inc.), and reviews books she likes on Amazon.
